ALOE VERA FOR TEETH
(NATURAL TOOTHPASTE)

Aloe Vera For Teeth? Are you happy with your toothpaste? If these seem strange questions you might be tempted not to read on. And you especially might not want to think in terms of making a change! (If in a hurry, please scroll down to the green section for a quick assessment of benefits. And do ensure you read the STOP PRESS from General Dentistry at the very end.) That’s exactly where I was a few years ago when my daughter introduced me to Forever Bright Toothgel. She told me of its ability to nourish, strengthen and protect teeth and gums. I wasn’t really interested. Didn’t all brands do that? Not according to Joanna, who said that the one I was using then for extreme sensitivity was numbing my gums rather than resolving the problem. “Not to worry,” I said airily, “just as long as I can eat and drink without flinching!” Well, it took quite a while for her to convince me even to give Forever Bright a try. In the end I agreed to use it at night, while sticking to my usual brand in the mornings. I found that I was waking up with a much fresher mouth than previously and that my teeth seemed whiter than they used to be. I also found that mouth ulcers disappeared with astonishing speed. Were these coincidences?
By the time my former brand of toothpaste ran out I trusted Forever Bright enough to use it in the mornings as well as at night. And guess what?
However hot, however cold – no food or drink makes me flinch! And I truly feel that my gums are healed. STOP PRESS!! Here's what General Dentistry say about aloe vera for teeth: ALOE VERA TOOTHGEL IS BETTER THAN TOOTHPASTE FOR FIGHTING DECAY
(05 August 2009) Bad teeth and gums are an unsuspected cause of many chronic conditions – and now there’s an alternative type of toothpaste that dentists are discovering is one of the best for fighting decay and inflammation. Aloe vera toothgel is a more effective germ-fighter than some commercially-available toothpaste, dentists have been told in a new study. And it’s ideal for people with sensitive teeth and gums as it is less abrasive than standard toothpaste. But people need to be careful about the gel they buy, warns Dilip George, co-author of the study. The best products contain the stabilised gel, from the centre of the aloe vera plant, and the manufacturing process should avoid excessive heat or filtration as this can destroy some of the active ingredients. Dr George suggests consumers should contact independent groups such as the International Aloe Science Council for advice before buying. (Source: General Dentistry, 2009; 57: 238-41). Footnote from Pamela: Need I add that Forever's aloe vera toothgel fulfils all the above criteria? It is produced from stabilised gel from the aloe vera plant's centre and is approved by the International Aloe Science Council (as purchasers will see from the seal on the reverse of its tube!)
