VITAMINE IN ALOE VERA

I was astonished to discover the number of natural vitamine in Aloe Vera. Did you know that the term ‘vitamin’ has the literal meaning ‘agent of life’? I certainly didn’t, until quite recently. Maybe you’ll be as impressed as I am that at least ten of the 15+ vitamins essential in animal diets are present in stabilised Aloe Vera gel.

Of course vitamins are crucial to human diets as well! Forgive me if periodically I go off at a tangent about animals, seeming to forget humans. I’m certainly not forgetting us. It’s just that my focus for this website began with four-legged Sam.

On this page I’d simply like to draw your attention to the staggering fact that these important vitamins all occur naturally in Aloe Vera:

  • Vitamin A (Retinol - and a natural antioxidant)
  • Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid – and an antioxidant)
  • Vitamin E (another natural antioxidant)
  • Vitamin B1 (Thiamine)
  • Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)
  • Vitamin B6 (in 3 forms: pyridoxine, pyridoxal & pyridoxamine)
  • Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin)
  • Folic Acid (Chief function is in formation of red blood corpuscles)
  • Choline
  • Vitamin B3 (Niacin)

  • To finish, I think this might make you smile: Vitamin C is an antioxidant vitamin essential in the diet of man, primates and … guinea pigs!
